We design investment models to scale international, interdisciplinary, regenerative capacity focused on equity as we prove economically-viable models can serve environmentalism and UN Sustainable Development Goals most exquisitely.

Conserving forests, reforestation, increasing biodiversity, and supporting indigenous stewards attracts private investment interest

Dear Sir or Madam,

The Community Carbon Network seeks your support in securing Convergence Finance’s blended finance of 200,000 USD for the execution of its initial feasibility study and apps development in line with SDG 13 Climate Action: https://www.convergence.finance/design-funding

The Community Carbon Network is a consortium of four organizations: Delta Rising Foundation, Waka Africa Organization, Northern Indigenous Peoples Organization, and Kuza Sustainable Livelihoods. We are applying for blended finance through Convergence Finance to refine our model which is already of substantial interest to private investors to scale international regenerative capacity focused on equity as we prove economically-robust models can serve environmentalism and UN Sustainable Development Goals goals most exquisitely.

Our equitable climate finance models recognize indigenous peoples’ rights through direct market participation, promote core climate action points such as sustainability and biodiversity, and advance transparency in the market through clear data models based on blockchain technology. We project the Community Carbon Network will be able to offer a minimum of 500 million USD worth of carbon credits and possibly substantially more based on the values, goals, land, and projects Northern Indigenous Peoples Organization is engaging in which other indigenous partners are showing substantial interest.

The carbon exchange apps democratize carbon credit access so that everyone can scrub their carbon footprint through individual carbon sinks and their respective credits in which we have great confidence because we have the data transparency, scientific expertise, and grassroots leadership that secure our ability to ensure our carbon credits meet accreditation standards and are, in fact, of the highest quality available worldwide.

To secure the 200,000 USD for this work, we need to show cause of commitment for matching funds from other organizations. We write to your organization to request a show of matching finance or a commitment to offer matching investment in our current project. It is our humblest request that your show of confidence in us as confirmation of willingness to commit any amount of matching funds for the development of our carbon credit model shall attract similar investment. In-kind donations are also welcomed.

Note: We would like to notify you that this expression of interest shall go a long way in helping us to secure the funding to develop the programs; we well understand you are free to change your mind on this commitment at any time. Moreover, there is no requirement for prior deposits. A letter or email of support or agreement is all that is needed at this stage. We stand ready to match with in-kind donations worth approximately 100,000 USD from our four institutions in the areas of legal, technical, scientific, financial, and cultural expertise.

We will appreciate your feedback before or on March 15 at noon EST, as the application deadline is on March 15 at 6 pm EST.

Kindly give it your highest consideration.
Sincerely,
