As the Co-Founder and Technical Director of Berkeley Air Monitoring Group, David brings invaluable expertise and dedication to our mission. Since 1996, David has been at the forefront of air pollution research, carbon monitoring, and training workshops related to household energy, health, and climate in the developing world. His extensive experience in environmental health science and his commitment to creating a sustainable, healthy world align perfectly with our goals.

Born on December 5, 1991, in Pucallpa, Peru, JoLu Amaringo is a visionary artist influenced by his renowned grandfather, Pablo Amaringo. JoLu began painting at six, initially focusing on Amazonian landscapes. In 2016, he created his first visionary art mural, “Spiritual Temple,” inspired by Ayahuasca, capturing its spiritual essence.

In this seminar, speakers will take stock of the significance of these developments and the leadership of Small Island States. They will reflect on key takeaways from the ITLOS Advisory Opinion and on the role of climate science in these proceedings. This seminar will also look forward to what is next in this year of unprecedented legal action outside the climate change negotiations and what the practical impacts and implications may be.
